After Christmas Thoughts
Christmas 2013 is past. We've spent weeks getting ready. We'll spend at least another week cleaning up.
Millions of dollars have been spent on family and friends. In local communities across our land, expensive prizes have been given to the homeowner whose home was the most elaborately decorated. Some of them never even recognized the reason for Christmas.
Think for a moment how we, as a nation, have forgotten whose birthday it is. Some would say, "look how far we have come". Maybe, we should see how far we have fallen. Most sill say, "Well, it's for the children", but the children as a whole, have not a clue whose birthday it is.
There is a great tragedy here. We, as a nation, have forgotten who this baby became. As a result, the blessings God seems to be steadily decreasing on America. The Bible says" Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord (Christ).
America has been under the favor of God for most of existence, over two hundred years. That as dramatically changed. God said, "I don't change. Love me and serve me and I will bless you. Ignore me and I'll ignore you. If you don't want me, I won't bother you".
Remember before our Nation will put Christ back in Christmas, we have to put him back in our families. If you are looking for a church, check our website and events we would love to have you visit.
